About Te Tira Hou Solutions
Established in 2026 across Horowhenua-Manawatū, Te Tira Hou Solutions is a Māori-led consultancy dedicated to cultural advisory, professional learning, and tailored programmes. We walk alongside kura, organisations, and community groups across Horowhenua- Manawatū and Rangitāne to build authentic cultural capability and confidence.
Rooted in Tikanga, Kawa and local identity
Our foundations are deeply anchored in Te Ao Māori. We believe meaningful cultural responsiveness begins with local relationships, genuine understanding, and place-based mātauranga Māori. By honouring local tikanga and kawa, we ensure learning is respectful, grounded, and deeply relevant to our rohe.
Safe and welcoming learning spaces
Approaching te reo Māori, pōwhiri processes, or cultural protocols can sometimes feel overwhelming. We intentionally design warm, beginner-friendly environments where every participant feels supported to ask questions, practice mihimihi and waiata, and grow in confidence without fear of making mistakes.
Tailored guidance for lasting impact
Every kura and organisation has its own unique aspirations and starting point. Led by Manu Pīrere Graduates of Te Kōhanga Reo, Qualified Kaiako Matua and Expert Kuia Kaumātua, our advisory services range from individual school workshops to marae-based immersions and multi-school cluster PLD, ensuring your cultural journey creates genuine, enduring change.
"Te Tira Hou Solutions creates a space where cultural learning feels accessible, respectful, and genuinely empowering for all our staff."
